One of the most recent projects finished...had to share it!
A Christmas Tree Skirt that's actually a great blanket pattern by Cathy Henry and available for purchase on Ravelry. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/round-waffle-stitch-blanket
MarkAStitch and then some...
Sharing a little bit of this and a little bit of that with all of those who have a love of knitting, crocheting and handcrafted items.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This blog is currently and probably will always be a work in progress so please have patience if something is a little discombobulated.
Thanks!

Join Yarns and Different Colors
Over the years, I've been asked quite a few times how I join yarns when I have to change colors or a a new skein.
Previously, I always joined yarns by knotting the 2 ends together, whether they were the same or different colors. I've never had a problem in the past doing it this way although I know a lot of people would say that's a big NoNo!
Most of the tutorials I've seen on the web have you joining without creating a knot. I personally have never felt quite safe doing it this way as I'm afraid of it coming apart. I could never quite grasp how it wouldn't come apart.
About 5-6 years ago, I did learn of another way of joining new yarn with the old and while it does make a "knot", it's almost completely invisible and it leaves no ends to tuck in.
It just so happened that at my crochet / knit club today someone asked once again how I joined yarns. So when I came home, I did a little browsing on YouTube and found the following tutorial from WEBS
